Users who encounter issues with the Responder e-Learn training modules N-1080: HHS Travel Card Training for Cardholders 2014, N-1090: Information System Security Awareness 2014, or N-1100: Privacy Awareness 2014 are advised to take the following actions:

Please allow each slide to load fully before advancing through the material. Some slides use a combination of clickable buttons, images, and links to access information and audio. If you encounter an issue with a specific slide (for example slides 7 and/or 10), please be sure to review all material and click on all slide content.

If you are using Internet Explorer and continue to have difficulty with content loading or slides “freezing,” please try clearing your temporary internet files and restarting your browser. To clear temporary internet files, please use the following steps:

  1. Click on the gear icon in the upper right corner of your browser
  2. Select “Internet Options” from the dropdown list
  3. Navigate to the “Browsing history” in the “General” tab
  4. Click “Delete”
  5. In the “Delete Browsing History” popup, make sure that the following are checked:

    a. Temporary Internet files and website files

    b. Cookies and website data


  6. Click “Delete”
  7. Click “OK”
  8. Restart the browser

If you are on a personal computer and are using Mozilla Firefox, please use the following steps to clear your browsing history:

  1. Open the “History” dropdown list and click “Clear Recent History”
  2. Set the time range to “Today”
  3. Expand the Details menu
  4. Make sure the following are checked:
    a. Cookies
    b.
    Cache
  5. Click “Clear Now”
  6. Restart the browser

If you are using Mozilla Firefox and continue to have issues moving past certain slides, please use the following steps to add Responder e-Learn to the Allowed Pop-ups list and retry the module:

  1. Open the “Tools” menu and select “Options” from the dropdown list
  2. Navigate to the “Content” tab
  3. Click the “Exceptions…” button
  4. Enter the following address and click the “Allow” button

  5. Click the “Close” button
  6. Click the “OK” button
  7. Restart the browser

Mandatory Online Training for NDMS Intermittent Employees

All NDMS team employees who have not already done so must complete these trainings by April 30, 2014. Please see below for information on how to access the training requirements:

Click on the green "Login Instructions" and follow the username and password configuration for NDMS users. Please Note: All letters for the username must be typed in lower case. The password is case-sensitive.

These are one time only course requirements and are required for those who have not already taken these courses. At this time, we are requiring that current Legacy NDMS Special Government Employees (SGEs) who were hired prior to October 1, 2011 and have not completed the Ethics Training, should move to complete this training by the April deadline.

Once you are logged in, click on the "My Courses" tab. In your available or enrolled courses, click on "NDMS" and "N-1000 - Course Part I – Introduction to the Organization". Navigate to the Course Menu and select Course Modules.

Select:

· N1070-Ethics Training for Special Government Employees

For the Psychological First Aid Course, click on “NDMS” and “NC-2000 - Course Part 2 – Response Readiness”. Navigate to the Course Menu and select Course Modules.

Select:

· NC 2051-Psychological First Aid

Pay close attention to the course numbers to ensure you are taking the correct course. You must successfully pass the exam, if applicable, AND complete the survey for that specific module to receive credit.

These are annual course requirements and mandatory for all NDMS intermittent employees for calendar year 2014. The HHS Travel Card Training for Cardholders is specific to personnel holding an HHS travel card and/or new or existing employees applying for the HHS travel card.

Once you are logged in, click on the "My Courses" tab. In your available or enrolled courses, click on "NDMS" and "N-1000 - Course Part I – Introduction to the Organization". Navigate to the Course Menu and select Course Modules.

Select:

· N 1080 - HHS Travel Card Training for Cardholders 2014 (specific to personnel holding an HHS travel card and/or new or existing employees applying for the HHS travel card)

· N 1090 - Information Systems Security Awareness 2014

· N 1100 - Privacy Awareness Training 2014

Pay close attention to the course numbers to ensure you are taking the correct course. You must successfully pass the exam, if applicable, AND complete the survey for that specific module to receive credit.

Responder e-Learn is an integrated medical, public health, preparedness and response educational curriculum sponsored by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

This curriculum will enhance the knowledge, skills, and abilities of Federal responders to improve and enhance their competency to prepare for and provide a unified response to disasters, incidents and ESF-8 missions.

The course content within Responder e-Learn is based upon capabilities needed to fulfill operational missions and anticipated response requirements. Upon completion of this curriculum, responders are better prepared to deliver public health and medical care services during disasters of any origin under multiple field conditions.
